Sarah & Michael - Lake Elkhorn Engagement Photography

We could not have had more perfect weather for Sarah and Michael's engagement session. It started off cloudy and pleasantly cool, then right before quitting time the sun popped out and the sky opened up. We got the best of both worlds. :) Sarah and Michael were up for anything, including my long trek halfway around the lake so I could photograph them from the other side. Which might be my favorite shot. Or not. I got so many I love from this session it's hard to pick just one as a favorite!

Oh yeah, Sarah and Michael are also training for a half-marathon together (if you're wondering what the deal with the shoes is.) Between the two of them, they've lost EIGHTY pounds from running!! Way to go!

OpLove Family

I love being a part of the Operation Love Reunited organization! If you're not familiar with them or what they do, check 'em out online: http://www.oplove.org/

Anyway, I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family a couple weeks ago. This session was a great reminder to me that sometimes the best photos happen in the unplanned moments. :)

Grace & Gerry - Ceresville Mansion

The number of times I saw Gerry tear up when talking about Grace, thinking about Grace, or marrying Grace spoke volumes to me about them as a couple. This man seriously loves her. It was the sweetest thing, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a little misty-eyed myself. Sooooo cute, this couple!

On a more frightening note, there was a vulture that flew in to be part of our photo session when I was shooting the guys. HOLY COW THOSE THINGS ARE HUGE! Next to Gerry's adoring love and devotion to his bride, this is the thing I remember most from their wedding. Ha! I'm including pictures so you don't think I'm crazy.

Oh yeah, it was also a pretty rockin' party.

Thanks also to Carly Fuller for shooting with me! A few of these photos are hers. :)

See? Scary, right? This thing definitely has his eye on me and he's not messing around.
